In Rue des rebuts, we find both the Tardi of Voyage au bout de la nuit, and the masterly Tardi of Ici Même: a tall stallion in a ball cap, a little lost in the gloom. Behind each of his drawings, we find an atmosphere, slightly azimuth characters who, without even reading the text, tell us a story. The wash enhances the paper perfectly. Remarkable!
