In the Goulet de Brest, under a cloudy sky that is gradually breaking up, Yann is at the helm of a Plougastel rowboat that is making good speed. The boat is typical of the area, with an archaic mast that's hard to maneuver. Behind, at a short distance, also taking advantage of this good breeze, a corvette is about to overtake them. It's the peaceful, unchanged image of this superb inlet which, for centuries, led to the harbor and the city of Brest, and served as their protection. And it's a delight to draw and paint.
