Rat and Mole are lost in the Wild Woods. The freshly fallen snow has covered their tracks and is not helping their case. Will they turn into ice statues, or will they be rescued in time? In their misfortune, they have actually fallen at the foot of Badger's lair. A place where life is good. Their host honors them with a visit. After passing through an austere underground corridor, they were ushered into the kitchen, a place in the image of this lover of good food: "This place gave off a pleasant impression, not of comfort, but rather of reassurance. It seemed as if nothing from the outside world could disturb the peaceful security of this place."
