"I really like the symmetrical composition of the page, with Bragon towering over the whole. I love drawing, that's for sure, but I take great pleasure in thinking about the narrative; composing my pages, for me, is the spice of the story. For the page I'm working on to be a success, there has to be a strong element to justify it. In this case, it's Bragon's face. I remember that the original staging wasn't the same, and I moved the square with this face to create this balanced whole. There's a surge of water that merges with the mountain to become a kind of abstract flow. For me, there's nothing more pleasurable than flirting between the figurative and the abstract. Sometimes I take a very strong stance, detaching myself from the accuracy of the drawing to concentrate on the impression, which must give off an emotion, an energy. The idea is to juggle between the detailed part and the chaotic areas to convey the hubbub of the rain. I like to use a dry, crushed brush, which, as in this case, creates interesting materials and beautiful atmospheres, and this scene is one of my favorite in the album."
