There's no need to introduce John Blacksad, a seductive and determined black cat - meaning colored, which in the U.S. is no mean feat. This anthropomorphic variation on the American film noir conceived by Juan Díaz Canales is wonderfully brought to life by Juanjo Guardino, who breathes incredible energy and humanism into the saga's extraordinary characters. The release of a new series is often accompanied by a promotional tour of the most important sales outlets in France. This was the case for the Super Héros bookshop in Paris, which reserved a bookplate for its customers at the time of the release. Here we have the original, which perfectly captures the thriller atmosphere.
