BOB DE MOOR ◊ BLAKE AND MORTIMER Cover design for the second part of Professor Sato's 3 Formulas produced in 1990, accompanied by a later on color tracing paper. Enclosed an additional preliminary stage, in black and white in India ink on tracing paper. Mixed media on paper Each: 20.8 × 29.6 cm (8.19 × 11.65 in.) Bob de Moor's first project is chosen for the cover of Sato tome 2. Now that he has delivered all the drawings to the publisher, the Jacobs Foundation finds a brief pencil sketch by the Master with the main title "Mortimer contre Mortimer" (Mortimer against Mortimer), which is the album's subtitle. A photocopy of this drawing was sent to Bob de Moor, who began work on a new cover based on Jacobs' design. Just as Bob de Moor was about to work on the final drawing, he learned that the album had gone to the printer with the cover as we know it. He didn't go on to finalize the drawing, which remained in the form of a sketch on an advanced but unfinished tracing paper. Olivier Marin
