India ink, blue pencil and white gouache on paper 36.5 × 51 cm (14.37 × 20.08 in.) A fine end-of-cycle page from one of Jean Dufaux's most inspired and original series, in the medieval fantasy genre. Rosinski simulates a scene from a history painting, which is part textbook chromo, part tapestry. Sioban, the central heroine of this cycle, has regained the Sudenne crown and is enthroned in majesty. The authors do not fail to allude to the shadowy side of her accession to the throne. One does not govern innocently.
