Indian ink, colored ink, gouache and pastel highlights on paper 29.5 × 42 cm (11.61 × 16.54 in.) It's often forgotten that Rosinski's initial training in Poland was in painting. As a result, his drawing was not initially influenced by Franco-Belgian, American or Italian productions. This gives his line an original dimension that has since set the standard. Two aspects characterize his work: his energy - there's something electric about this portrait of Kriss de Valnor - and his ability to communicate on the psyche of his characters: here, we see her rebellious, determined and dangerous, as if bristling with thorns...
